    Pernah dengar frase ini? Yap, Suggestion berarti saran atau nasehat. 
    Any Suggestions? merupakan  salah satu ungkapan yang biasa digunakan saat meminta saran atau nasehat. Meminta dan memberi nasehat biasa dilakukan seseorang saat dia terkena masalah dan sebagai wujud perhatian.

    Berikut merupakan dialog mengungkapkan meminta dan memberi saran/ nasehat.

    Dialog about asking and giving suggestion or advice.

    Lucy:You look upset, Adam. What's the matter?
    Adam:Nothing. I don't want to talk about it.
    Lucy:Come on. What's up?
    Adam:Well, I've just got this text message from a guy in my class. He wants me to take a photo of the maths exam paper tomorrow and then send it to him. What should I do, Lucy?
    Lucy:Well, whatever you do, don't cheat. That's for sure. They can expel you for that.
    Adam:Right.
    Lucy:And I think you should tell your teacher.
    Adam:What? Tell on him? I can't do that!
    Lucy:OK, but you should tell him what you think.
    Adam:Are you sure?
    Lucy:Yes, definitely. Don't worry. I'm sure he'll understand.
    Adam:Yes, you're right. Thanks, Lucy.

    Expresi atau ungkapan yang mengandung makna meminta saran  yaitu “
    What should I do, Lucy?”
    Sedang ungkapan memberi saran dalam dialog ini adalah “I think you should tell your teacher” dan “you should tell him what you think.”

    Modal/ Auxiliary atau kata bantu yang biasa digunakan untuk mengungkapkan hal tersebut adalah “ should,  ought to dan had better”
    Penggunaan keduanya selalu diikuti dengan V1. (spesial yang menggunakan-to-hanya –ought to-)

    Contoh simple
    Give me suggestion of my problem:   I feel bored at weekend…
    The common suggestion given:
    A. Why don’t we go to a movie?
    B. We could go to a movie.
    C. Let’s go to a movie.
    D. What about going to a movie?
    E. How about going to a movie?
    F. I suggest we go to a movie
    G. You should go refreshing
    H. You had better do your hobby.
